Work-Based Learning Experiences

Work-Based Learning Experiences (WBLs) provide students with opportunities to gain authentic hands-on vocational experience within the local community. Students define personal strengths, expand their abilities, and discover vocational interests through application of acquired skills in the local community. With the support of teachers and job coaches, students hone self-advocacy, safety, and transition skills required to be productive members of the community. A wide range of WBLs are available within the local community and on campus. Certified teachers trained in WBL monitor and evaluate student performance according to state guidelines.
